Baldwin Chiropractic Adopts State Of The Art Computerized Adjusting Technology

The instrument is called “iQ” because it is intelligent; monitoring spinal motion in real time during each treatment. The Impulse iQ’s internal motion sensor communicates with a microchip computer to regulate the treatment creating more efficient treatments that are comfortable and just the right dosage. The developer of this technology, chiropractor, Dr. Chris Colloca, collaborated with biomechanists, engineers, and orthopedic spine surgeons to conduct research on the new product before its release. Numerous research studies have been published in scientific medical and chiropractic journals on this new technology.

The technological benefits of computerized technologyChiropractic Kent WA technology allow the doctors at Baldwin chiropractic to deliver high-tech controlled treatments that target the underlying source of patient’s pain. Conditions ranging from low back pain to whiplash, neck pain and headaches are managed by chiropractors with the device. Along with neck and back conditions, we are able to care for extremity conditions such as carpal tunnel, shoulder problems and foot pain such as plantar fasciitis with this technology.

Millions of nerves travel through the human frame to control the function and physiology of your body. Spinal joints that are not moving properly can affect your health by irritating delicate spinal nerves. When irritated, these nerves alert your brain that something is wrong. Symptoms, including pain, are usually the result. Nerve signals are also sent to your muscles to stabilize and protect the area. You may feel stiff, sore, and tired. Chiropractic adjusting with the Impulse iQ Adjusting Instrument® aims to restore your body’s balance and function to correct the underlying cause of your symptoms with treatments that are as painless as possible. Getting you back to feeling yourself again quickly and effectively are our primary goals.

What Does the Adjustment Feel Like?

Chiropractor Kent WA adjustmentChiropractic adjustments with the Impulse iQ Adjusting Instrument® feel like a light tapping sensation on the area that is being treated. In most cases the treatment is painless and after the adjustment many patients feel relief of pain and improved mobility. Others report a sense of well-being or a soothing calm feeling. Of course, results vary from case to case and chronic conditions, inflammation or muscle spasms may delay these positive effects. Most patients are surprised how good the adjustment feels. “I thought I had no choice but cracking and popping… when I was adjusted by the Instrument… I knew I had found the answers to my pain, as well as a technique I could trust!”

The Doctors at Baldwin Chiropractic Are Certified

Dr. Baldwin: “As I grew in practice, I realized things about chiropractic I didn’t like. One of them was that the adjusting techniques are not updated as often as they should. Most techniques used by a chiropractor were learned in Chiropractic College, and after they started practice and the technique never changed from that point. I once heard a chiropractor say “Hey, that adjustment worked 20 years ago, why would I want to change it?” Good point, but… the science has changed, chiropractic has changed, why would you not want to stay current with the newest techniques, updated exams, as well as updated science?” Well we did. As I added young doctors into my practice, I tried to learn about all the “new stuff” coming out of the colleges. There is quite a bit. I tried to pass on the clinical knowledge I developed over the years to the new doctors. That philosophy of combining the old and the new turns out to offer the best care to patients. It became pretty evident, that if we as a group were to keep up with the science of chiropractic, we needed an adjusting technique we could all use, that was reproducible and had a great deal of current scientific research. The answer was easy… we adopted the Neuromechanical Technique and the Impulse iQ” WE ARE CERTIFIED : Any chiropractor can take the seminar required to use the Impulse iQ, but only a small percentage of the chiropractors who take the seminars take the time to get certified by Neuromechanical Innovations. All four of us are certified. That means we are the only doctors in this region currently certified by Neuromechanical Innovations.
